In the past three days, we hosted the second international workshop supported by the 4EU+ Alliance Charles University Minigrant (the first one took place in June 2022). This time, we discussed with colleagues from the University of Copenhagen, the University of Warsaw, the University of Heidelberg, the Institute of Geography of the Slovak Academy of Sciences and, aslo with our new partner – the University of Geneva, the possibilities for joint research, publications and the preparation of a project proposals. The Biodiversa call seems to be suitable for our topic. Also this time we spent nice time together not only in scientific discussions but also in the field. We went to abandoned quarries in the Czech Karst (Great America and Mexico), where different successional stages of vegetation can be observed. We also visited Svatý Jan pod Skalou and Karlštejn Castle.
